Human Resources Assistant

LINX-USA, Corp., a Massachusetts leader in the summer day camp industry and the parent company of LINX Camps and NEOC (New England Outdoor Camps), is looking to add a Human Resources Assistant to our year round team. We work all year to bring premier summer day camps that are fun for kids and great for families to the metrowest community.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Assistant will be responsible for providing support for HR functions including but not limited to attendance, payroll, new employee onboarding, and employee relations. This is an in person position located in Wellesley, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports recruitment and onboarding processes, including review of onboarding paperwork
  • Reviews time and attendance daily making adjustments in staffing and payroll systems as required
  • Processes staff requests for time-off
  • Payroll responsibilities include ensuring that all staff are imported to payroll company, preparing bi-weekly payroll for review, submitting payroll to payroll company, acting as a liaison to staff for payroll related questions and concerns
  • Serves as a point of contact for employee questions
  • Assists with engagement initiatives to enhance the workplace
  • Provides essential administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and company Leadership Team, handling day-to-day tasks, special projects and other related duties
  • Supports multiple locations

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining databases, records, and documentation
  • Willingness and ability to learn our proprietary software systems
  • Familiarity with employment laws, policies, and regulations to ensure HR practices comply with legal standards
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information is essential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience gained through generalist positions within Human Resources with increasing responsibility and hands-on experience in onboarding, and employee record and payroll management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends and longer hours in the summer when camp is in session
  • Experience with insurance renewals is a plus

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on candidates qualifications. $25 - 30 per hour.
